Il'lizabethine

illizabethine

She had stormed the world with her ideals. Trampled the last haven; the only one that survived the Wrecking.
Once there were glistening temples for the gods, now she is declaring them false, that the people were coming upon a new age -- an age of greatness. Castles with soaring towers and flags proclaiming undying loyality to their each and own. Never to any one else.
She changed that, still is changing the wrinkled, lost lands. She buried the temples, and is raising new. She had the walls of the castles ripped down, pulling the stones to create greater cities.
She frightened the people into believing she was the right, and that the old ways were the wrong.
In all their lives, and in all their histories, man had ruled the earth, never changing, never growing.
This is the world run by women. With metal contraptions she named The Machinas that fed off of flesh, blood and sweat.
She is Il'lizabethine, and this is her world now.
No one saw a way to stop her, and most were too dumbstruck to think that they should.

This is beautiful. Reminds me of the town in the middle of the Labyrinth.
