Commission Information
Thank you for considering me for an original painting. Currently I am available for personal custom paintings, portraits, as well as free-lance illustration for projects.
I require a 50% of the total up front. I always email a scan of the finished work, and make as many revisions as necessary before the final payment is due. Please be sure to contact me in advance to meet any deadlines. Digital work generally is faster than traditional (to allow the layers to dry properly). I can usually create a piece in a few weeks from beginning sketches to finalized painting.
I was trained as a conceptual artist, and my work mostly deals with the idea of storytelling, sometimes highly fantasized. Please familiarize yourself with my style of figure work, since I tend to not slip far from the elongation of the figures when I do commission work. (Note: I will add faces if desired, the masks are for the gods/goddesses pieces)
I do NOT make prints of commissioned art for others to buy. A commissioned piece is a one of a kind piece of art. Only I keep a larger printable size for portfolio use only - mainly for a record of the piece, as well as to show future clients varients of artwork that I can do.
I really like drawing 'long/tall' pieces, so any inches you take off of width or height, can be added to the other side (ie: 8x10 = 6x12 or 4x14, etc.) Prices will not change for strange sizes.
I do not paint in oils currently. Other painting mediums are okay (watercolor, acyrlics, inks). I can mix-media's as well: Pen and ink with watercolors, etc, which most of my traditional work tends to be some form of mixed.
Paintings are typically created on heavy watercolor paper, or canvas (boards, or un-stretched cloth). If wishing for a stretched canvas (canvas on a wooden frame) shipping costs will be significantly higher, so additional fees will be added to insure proper shipment of a stretched canvas.
I do not include framing with artwork. I prefer to work right to the edge, but I will leave borders if desired for mating/framing. Any work on canvas and illustration board will NOT have borders. Digital and painting/drawing on watercolor paper can have borders added.

Commercial Work:
I am more than happy to work within your budget, but I do not do work for free or royalties. If you are a not for profit group, I will make exceptions. The last one I had worked for gave me a tax-deduction code for compensation and one of their items with my images on it.
